Christmas 2008

We haven't posted much lately as usual, but here are some pictures from Christmas. We had a good time this year. Angie's parents and brother Judd came to our house and stayed the night on Christmas Eve. We had dinner and had a great time just hanging out. The girls decided it would be a good idea to wake everyone up at 3:00 AM to open their gifts. They just couldn't wait to see what Santa had left for them.

Grandpa Mark was the only smart one. He caught some shut-eye on Christmas Eve. He must have had something to do with Abby and Ellie waking up so early.

The girls enjoyed hanging out with grandma and grandpa and on Christmas Eve and they put together some ginger bread houses. One peice of advice with these store bought ginger bread houses they taste terrible. The dogs were the only ones with any interest in eating them.

What we have been up to latley!

We have been busy lately finishing the basement in our home. We live in a pretty old home that was built in the 40's so when I moved in I gutted the basement and we have been slowly working on it ever since.

Ellie got into it helping paint her room. Of course she wanted some pink.

Ellie's Christmas Program.

A couple weeks ago a friend of ours had a birthday party. So living in Vernal there is not a ton to do so we went to the local ice rink. The girls really enjoyed it and Abby has been begging to go back ever since.

Happy Halloween We are Back

Happy Halloween and we are back trying to blog again. It has definitely been a while since we have updated our blog and we are late on the holidays as well. It has been a busy summer and it has gone by in a flash. I had no idea how busy life would be when you put a family into the equation. Although it's busy I wouldn't want it any other way. Abby and Ellie are doing great. Abby is now in 4th grade and she loves here teacher. She also seems to think she has a new boyfriend. His name is Chet or Jet. We are not quit sure what his real name is yet. Ellie is now in 1st grade and she is enjoying it. Angie and I have been busy with work and shuffling the kids around to their different activities. Abby is taking a couple of dance classes and Ellie is taking a dance class and gymnastics. This summer a good friend and business partner of mine and I started a small oil field service company here in Vernal. For those of you outside of the Uintah Basin who may not know. Vernal has been growing through a natural gas and oil boom for the last four years.

Angie and I have also been trying to get a bunch of work done around the house. I completely gutted the basement in our home a little over a year ago and this summer we started the remodel. It has gone slowly due to the lack of time available but mostly due to my inability to complete projects around the house. As Angie can attest I have a long list of things that still need to be completed.

Enough with my rambling on about what we have been up to here are some recent pics of our little family.

Gertie!!!

We got a new pup for Angie's birthday. We have finally got a name. Gertie!! We had a tough time coming up with a name. We had all kinds of thoughts for the name. Ellie's favorite was Crystal, Angie and Abby both liked Gertie and me having the minority vote liked a couple I probably should not mention.

Mesquite Golf Trip

Here are some pics from a weekend in Mesquite. My brother in law Mike and my buddy Ryan and I went down to Mesquite to get out of the cold play some golf. We stayed first class at the Oasis Casino and invested some of our money on the Roulette Table!!
